Exploring the history of Edenbridge

Many thanks to KIC member Rachel Cooper for sharing with us the Graveyard Trail which she researched and organised before and during lockdown.  There are information boards (which Rachel put up especially for us) with stories and old photographs with stories of the lives of some of the people buried there.  Most of them are what we might today call ‘unsung heroes’ who ran the small businesses or worked in the trades of the town.  Who’d have thought one of Edenbridge’s main industries was tanning and leather work?
Some of us consolidated our experience with a visit to the charming museum in the middle of the High Street.  Do stop and take a look next time you drive through Edenbridge.
